Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia

Are you suffering from Chronic Pain? Do you get tension headaches, recurrent migraine attacks, with distressing, debilitating pain and little respite, limiting your ability to function, participate in life?

The Low Energy Neurofeedback System is an advanced form of biofeedback that gently stimulates your brain in a way that relieves you from chronic pain and fibromyalgia—without medications.

How does LENS Neuofeedback provide relief?

When you are feeling pain your brain emits electromagnetic impulses of a particular pattern. For fractions  of a second, the LENS Neurofeedback system gently mirrors back your impulses – but in such a way that it corrects your pain patterns.

LENS Neurofeedback is particularly effective for those who suffer from chronic pain.

Chronic Pain can be widespread and generalized, as with Fibromyalgia, episodic or muscle spasms. Tension headaches are more prevalent than Migraines or cluster headaches. Migraines can be triggered by sensory factors, such as light, noise, smells, are episodic or long-lasting, causing incapacitation for days. Migraines can result from premenopausal issues in females, or years of overuse of medication.

Fibromyalgia is more common in females, and characterized by debilitating fatigue (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), joint stiffness with pain, and associated Chronic Pain disorders, including: Sleep Disturbance, Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( PTSD) ( with severe, prolonged stress), TBI, Mood instability, as well as ‘brain fog’ and cognitive dysfunction, including impaired processing and memory.

All these can be addressed through the LENS Neurofeedback system.

Is LENS Neurofeedback experimental?

Not at all! Over 75,000 people have been treated since Dr Len Ochs invented the Low Energy Neurofeedback System in 1994. LENS integrates state-of-the-art research in neuropsychophysiology and behavioral biophysics into an empirically driven, individually customized treatment.

Over one hundred research papers on the effectiveness of neurofeedback and LENS have been published. The National Institute of Health sponsored a study of LENS for the treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury, and the government of the Netherlands conducted a large double-blind study of successful treatment of adult ADHD with LENS.

Since there is a cortical (brain) component as well as a vascular component, the LENS Neurofeedback can often be more effective in Chronic Pain management than drugs. For those who value gaining control over their state, the LENS Neurofeedback training of self-regulation seems to work well.  ( For ordinary headaches, over-the-counter headache pills can work fine)

Taking strong pain medication or drugs can mean strong side effects, which often intensify when the meds are discontinued.

LENS can not only facilitate pharmaceutical treatment, but also be a complimentary and alternative treatment for chronic pain. When self-regulation with the LENS is enabled, symptoms tend to subside, of themselves.

Management of Chronic Pain without meds can be handled with LENS Neurofeedback – using tiny, pulsed electromagnetic fields to optimize brain function by releasing dysfunctional brainwave patterns out of their default frequencies . The LENS can work alone, or together with alternative approaches, including HeartMath, using visualization and rhythmic breathing, and Reconnective Healing, working in the biofield which is in and around the tissues. These alternative approaches can be deeply relaxing, easing tensions and relieving pain.
